I would just like to say a huge big thank you to every single one of you, whether you are client, a supporter, a follower or a liker you have all contributed into making my business what it is today.
I never realised actually how hard it was to start your own business, so I take my hat off to any of you who are currently starting a new business or running a business already. It is quite possibly the hardest thing I have ever had too, mainly because I have to juggle so many hats. Being a mummy, a business owner, a boss, a girlfriend, a friend, and a daughter can take its toll sometimes, not forgetting moving house and booking a wedding too!
Looking back over the last year I am sitting here feeling really happy and actually quite overwhelmed with everything I have achieved. I never thought this time 2 years ago I would be sitting here now owning an award winning laser clinic and having the lovely Lucy as part of my team.
In 2019, I won several awards:
- Gold Award for Aesthetic Practitioner of the Year – Kent Health and Beauty Awards
- Most promising new business of 2019 – Kent Invicta Chamber Awards
- Finalist for Kent Women in Business Start-up Business of the year award
- Runner up award for Kent Women in Business Inspired achievement award.
I have also been on the TV as a guest speaker for KMTV; I have been in the local newspaper as I was nominated for a Medway Business Award, I have been a guest speaker across Kent educating people about laser and the amazing results and I have helped other ladies start up their own laser clinics too!
Alongside this I welcomed Lucy to join my team in October, and although when taking someone on it can be risky, it is by far the best decision I have made. Lucy has an infectious and refreshing personality; she is kind, happy, and attentive and like me puts her customers first. Lucy is always thinking about ways in which we can create an environment of comfort for our clients and what will make our clients happy and I am so excited about 2020 already!
To summarise we have had an amazing 2019 and I would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a very merry Christmas and a happy new year.
